Cheap properties for sale in south of italy

Italy is a beautiful country - lovely people, good food and lots of charming hidden corners.
I love mainly the south of Italy. Why? Because first I was born there and second is "still" untached by modernity. There are corners, places and towns in Puglia, Calabria, Sicily, Molise and Abruzzo where you can still people working fields in the old way, riding a donkey and still able to enjoy their life for what it is.

There the family looks after everybody and things are simple as they used to be.
There are other reasons why I love the south of Italy, but this are enough reason to convince you to invest in abandoned properties that the local Italians do not want because they think are simply "old". While I think they are treasure of the past.

Prices for old farms with land are from 20,000 Euros to 100,000, all depends on how much work you have to do it to make it shiny as it was. Do not try to buy without the help of a local (preferably friend) - the Italian buroacracy can be very annoying, but there is always a way around it ;-)

Prices are cheap - yet - and the sun shines 10 months a year. There you can use all your environmental friendly skills and knowledge to use the sun and wind energy to make electricity and hot water; the rain water to collect water from the roof and avoid paying huge water bills (and remember water is getting rare and precious); the modern fireplaces to run the central heating water and warm the full house and create hot water for you bath and kitchen. Think about that…

And next time you watch the "A room with a view", think that you can still have all that - but only in the south of Italy.
